i literally had to write down an itinerary of what needed to get done, and where to go and in what order. lots of stops etc. and i decided to get kathryn's blood drawn today while we had the time and were in the area...luckily Jenni was thinking more than i was, and realized i wouldn't want Daniel with me when i go to get kathryn's blood drawn, so she watched him for me. then i realized i wasn't the one getting blood drawn, kathryn was...a child who would probably freak out...how was i going to convince her to stay calm?? and what if the nurse wasn't good with kids??
needless to say i was getting a bit anxious and when the time came i took a deep breath, walked back to the room. the nurse was actually really good with kathryn and she explained what she was doing while she did it, and when the needle prick came, kathryn (sitting in my lap) twitched a bit said "ow" and i got to asking her about her bumble bee that she brought and she was fine! no crying, no fighting to take the needle out, no fainting! WHEW! what a relief. the Lord knows what we can handle right? =) i was SO proud of her for doing so well! she is a strong little girl! i needed this to go smoothly so i could get through the next step... surgery.
well, one of the things i had to do today was pick up a picture we had taken at sam's (through a company called portraits international) they had a special : 1 10x13 for $10 with $5 sitting fee, no other pictures to buy. good deal i thought, good way to get a family picture taken without the pressure of buying all the poses. well, they did take 5 other poses just so they would have more pictures to "offer" in case you did want to buy them. well, these were good photographers mind you. they did a great job especially with the kids, and the picture of just John and I turned out awesome. i loved it. but, they wanted $40 a sheet, so $40 for 1 8x10. um, even if i had $40 to spend on a good picture, i would want more than 1 for $40. i guess i'm just cheap. but that was buying individually. their cheapest package was $120 for 4 sheets. i was amazed. i had NO problem telling the guy the pictures were awesome (they had pre-printed all of them incase you wanted them) but i couldn't afford ANY. he didn't even argue. i was happy with what we did get tho. maybe in the spring time we'll have the money to spend on good pictures. at least now i have some "pose" ideas for good pictures. so here is the Thibodeaux Family November 2009: (Kathryn left her glasses at home, i know, i am so used to seeing her with them now, that i immediately picked up that she didn't look herself.)

Cute Pic! Love the antique feel to it. I can hear John saying in the background, "Just wait til you have kids". Seriously I would be rich for every time I heard that from him. (And for the record I am waiting too, haha but I don't know if he noticed yet;)) Portrait Innovations is offering a nice litte package of pics for $9.95. It's only for one pose, but just in case you are interested.
yeah i think i will have to check out the portrait innovations package.
