some good ones

so i was going through some pictures and figured i would share some. all of these are from late may-june 08. i know i know, they're old. but cute. more coming when i get some more time! night night

he says hey hey, enough with the pictures MOM!

he looks so snuggly and cute.
big sissy kathryn is reading a book to her baby brother! and he is all eyes and ears.
so she loves books, and after she was getting good with going to the potty without having to tell me, one morning i found her like this! HAHA...if that isn't a mock of her daddy i don't know what is. lol. and the reason i went looking for her is cuz she was in there for about 30 mins! just like daddy!
putting on daddy's beanie. it looks so cute on her
she just loves books, but more than books she loves her Mimi. and her Mimi was tickling her, so i got a cute smile.

this was a popular position for daniel's arm to be in when he was 0-3 months. it's like he's posing for me. lol.
his adorable swim shit, and notice his arm...again. hehe.
a half smile???? it's cute.
he fell asleep on the arm of the couch. sweet baby

she loves boxes, she loves to climb in them, put things in them...just anything to do with boxes. cheap toy right? haha.
so she is 2 and can still take a bath in the sink? somehow she fit! (it was mrs. corine's idea!)
this is what happens when Mimi gives kathryn a bath. and she lets her put them in, i guess she likes people playing with her hair.
it seems like daniel fits in the pillow just perfectly. i love it.
this was kathryn's halloween costume, a lil bunny. now he gets to try it...i don't think he's as thrilled about it as i am. i love this thing!

pictures, and a lil catching up.

my sweet boy is a thumb sucker, but it's just so darn cute! he puts himself to sleep so i'm not complaining.
he is so amazing with those bright blue eyes and long DARK eyelashes...it's incredibly rare for their eyelashes to be so dark so early. but he's a special little guy!
so all those darn beanie babies daddy bought for me when i was young and i collected...are finally passed down to kathryn, and SHE LOVES THEM! who woulda thought! her favorite place is right in the container with all of them! it reminds me of myself at her age (pictures at least)
she's my beautiful little girl. this is a day or so before she got her glasses.
so this is the morning after we finally got kathryn's glasses. she looks pretty happy? i'm not so much digging them, but that's just because i'd rather her not be plagued with vision problems. but alas. we took her to the eye doctor because of a growth on her eye that she has had since birth, and we wanted to make sure it was nothing to worry about. yeah, i know, we should've taken her sooner, but with what they had to do, i'm kinda glad i waited. anyhow, we discovered that she is farsighted, a +8 in one eye, and a +9 in the other. EXTREMELY farsighted. she was also diagnosed with being cross-eyed, and hopefully the glasses will fix that. the growth on her eye is called a limbal dermatoid, and shouldn't affect her vision, athough the vision is slightly worse in that eye with the growth. she also has an astigmatism, which, as it was explained to me, is having oval shaped eyeballs, rather than round, which means, her vision will most likely never improve. it may get worse though. always nice to know. so if she ever wants to get rid of these bottle cap glasses, and go with contacts, she will have to get the growth on her eye removed. it's just a blow to the chest to hear that your little girl isn't perfect, and that she has all these problems. no one wants their child to come up with all these afflictions, and when you find out something is wrong...well... it certainly doesn't make you happpy. ya know. yeah, i get it, there are worse things that could happen...but how do i know that they won't? i feel like, now that i know she has this issue, what else is wrong with her? are there other explainations for her differences? like, she still can't talk...not for lack of coaching on my part, and she is 2 1/2. we had her hearing tested, and she can hear just fine...she is really clumsy, running into walls, tripping over nothing, falling...does she have a balance problem? is there something wrong with her inner ear? and she is almost always with a cold, runny nose, etc. does she have immune problems??? and the more i analyze her, the more problem areas i find. it's just...hard to describe this feeling of anguish. but she sure is a sweetheart. she cuddles with me, helps me around the house (when she realizes i'm trying to get stuff done) AND she is potty trained!!! YESSS she is FINALLY ahead of the group of kids about her age. the first one to be potty trained. so she is capable. and she succeeded. it's just that i want her to excel. to be happy. >>>
i love this picture. he is such a sweet boy.

the saddest face. but so cute!
i love his eyes, i think they may stay blue.

he's staring at his froggie. i think his vision is ok. lol.
kathryn outside at Mimi's house. she loved the flowers, and wanted them all in her hair.

the small stuff stresses

so while kathryn eats her breakfast still, and daniel chews on his toys before i feed him, i found a little time to splurge. i had no idea the little things that could cause so much stress in one's life. things you don't even realize are the cause for your stress. john and i recently moved the furniture around in our tiny apartment to make room for a couch. well, when john brought the couch over, the house wasn't quite ready to receive it, and so the couch just landed in the most inconvienant spot. i had clothes to do, and just general mess to sort through and put in a better place. but after the couch got here i couldn't get anything done. it was like i couldn't think straight, and i was extra irritable. come to find out, the placement of the couch was the root of all this stress and irritation. after i got super angry and had to take a "timeout" in the bathroom i came out and moved the furniture around in the living area. almost instantly, i had a sigh of relief, and the house felt more functional, and the house was so much cleaner it seemed!! wow. that was easy! and now, after 2 days of working through the clutter, the house is neat and clean again! YAY! i can move on to my projects. (i can't seem to get much done when the house is a mess). i am making a dress for me and kathryn, and i'm almost done with kathryns!! WOO HOO! i love sewing. it feels so rewarding. so, when i'm done i'll post pictures here. and when i get a chance, i'll post recent pictures of the kiddos. but daniel is hungry. and so my day continues.

the beginning

so i decided to create a blog! yay! there's plenty going on, so i figured this would be my way of keeping up with myself, and everyone else can be entertained and informed?! well, that's for you to decide. i figure when i get the time to scrapbook, i'll just come back to my blog and everything i'll need will be there, i'll just put finishing touches on it...
